    Basic but dependable

The built quality on this is overall good. The joystick is sturdy, the throttle has a satisfying slide, and the pedals are really substantial. The buttons on the joystick feel mushy; I would prefer a solid click, but they work fine. I wish there were more buttons on the joystick, but it's one of the only ambidextrous designs I've found. Switching to left hand is easy, but the hand rest doesn't lock into place well and rotates a bit during use. The buttons on the base of the joystick feel clicky and are textured to make finding them easier. The throttle feels great, mostly because of the slide. The only problem is that most space games have some kind of reverse function, which makes using the throttle less efficient than a dual joystick setup. All of the buttons, hats, joystick, knobs, nubs, and wheels feel durable but not every game recognizes all of them. Everspace didn't notice some of the hats. Elite Dangerous recognized everything. The pedals came with a proprietary plug that only plugs into the throttle, not the joystick. If you want to plug it in directly to your computer, you'll need to buy the USB adapter from Thrustmaster. This means that when I'm playing dual joystick games (with the Logitech 3d Pro I already own as my right hand stick), I still need to have the throttle plugged in so that I can connect the pedals. It's slightly inconvenient. You'll also probably end up calibrating the pedals to get them to respond the way you expect them to. I had to make adjustments so that my ship wouldn't automatically fly upward all the time. With those things in mind, it's a well built, if basic, HOTAS setup that I heartily recommend if you can find it at a good price. Great for people who want to get something simple and reliable without breaking the bank.

    Not worth it

I SIM Race and Sim fly on a regular basis, and built my cockpit around both a wheel with pedals, and my HOTAS. Unfortunately, I did not do my research before purchasing. This particular model of Thrustmaster's joystick have issues with the twist getting stuck or no longer working. Mine now has that issue, and I am lost on what to do. I bought it from here, obviously, so I'm not so sure if I can claim a warranty issue. Not too happy about it.

  • Great Stick-One of the best out there

For the price, it’s an amazing stick and Hotas. The stick is responsive, throttle works really well and both have really nifty 4-way hat switches. Only complaint is that the buttons on the joystick are a bit awkwardly placed and mushy to press-it doesn’t feel high quality, and I wish there were more switches on the hotas. Other than that it’s an amazing stick and I would highly recommend it to newcomers to flight sim.

  • Best in its price class

Hands down the best joystick I’ve ever used. Only experienced poor designs with too stiff springs (Saitej x42 and 52) and CH and Saitej yokes. This one however is much better even at precise movements.

  • Good package of gaming equipment!

I've been a gamer for over 40 years now. PC, console.... It's truly amazing how the video game industry has grown and changed over the years. Plus, the plethora of gaming equipment available now versus then is mind blowing! Thrustmaster has been producing gaming equipment for years! Some good, some bad...THAT is just how it is within the video game industry! No different with Thrustmaster. They've produced some bad, but mostly good gaming hardware! The Thrustmaster T16000M FCS is pretty doggone good gaming hardware! The FCS designation, for those that don't know, stands for Flight Control System. This means you'll have full control possibilities along all axis regarding flight, including thrust. You'll have your flight stick, throttle control, and rudder peddles that you can use to control flying through any simulated flying environment...even space simulations like Elite Dangerous! Build quality is good and if you'll take care of this hardware it should last you a good number of years. The price comparison to value is right on par with this gaming equipment. I'm the proud owner of many flight control systems and this one will occupy a high place in my collection. You will not be disappointed with this product!

  • Great Starter/Intermediate HOTAS

It’s a fantastic HOTAS, especially for beginners getting into games like DCS. I’ve just gotten into it and it is amazing, it all feels great and smooth. The layout of all the buttons feel great and allows for every player to have their own mapping for controls that you can get used to. It can start out overwhelming but if you have the patience and determination to stick with it it’ll pay off ten fold. As far as the quality, even though it’s plastic it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. It’s sturdy and doesn’t creak when pressure is applied to anywhere I’ve tested. Overall, I think it’s amazing and anyone on the fence about it should take the leap especially if flight sims or HOTAS based games interest you at all.

  • Great starter HOTAS setup.

This setup is a big step up from my Logitech Extreme 3D joystick. I love using this HOTAS setup with many simulation games, such as Elite: Dangerous, ArmA III, and Kerbal Space Program. There are more than enough buttons all around the throttle, but I feel that there's fewer buttons on the stick. The best thing about the stick is that it is very, very accurate. There's no play when the stick is at zero, and any fine adjustments does not register any unnecessary input. Overall, it is a great starter HOTAS setup.

  • Amateur pilots can play Flight Simulator properly now

I'm not a professional pilot, never even had a lesson, I just wanted to dream a little and play some Flight Simulator 2020. The keyboard controls quickly amounted to frustration as even a simple Cessna veered violently around due to lack of precision. So I knew I wanted something grander, a little more realistic, for a game that works so hard to emulate aircraft. While I wasn't about to build a three-screen fully realistic cockpit, I figured SOME flight controls were in order. Without breaking the bank, the T16000 FCS Flight Pack gives you everything you need out of the box, and even automatically is recognized and preconfigured by FS2020. It even has little graphics in the game's configuration screen. The controls themselves are smooth and easily glide around, and instantly my dreams of flight were slightly more realized.

  • Love this controller setup

I use this for a flight simulator. It works great. Especially for X – plane 11.
