Good buy
Product did not arrive with the Allen wrench and 2 ounce bottle of oil as stated in the online description, but I had the necessary items to assemble the weed eater. It started easily and ran smoothly. The description said the trimmer string was .095, which is the size I bought. The trimmer head said the the string was .080. Although the .095 string works, it jammed and had to be restrung. I suggest the online ad be corrected.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

You get what you pay for..........
Probably one of the worst string trimmers I have ever owned. You need to beat the devil out of the bump head to get the string to advance - and even when the string does advance the string ports on the trimmer head are so high you have to angle the head to get it to cut close. The engine seems powerful enough and starts easily - but the overall design of this trimmer is very poor. My advice is put your money towards a better brand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

The feeding of the string is really bad!
The motor runs fine and it cuts weeds fairly well. But the winding of the wire in the head is a night mare. Also it jams a lot with the head when you need more string. When you tap the head on the ground it works about a fourth of the time . The rest of the time you have to stop the trimmer and force it out by hand. This to me makes it not very high on my list. It would be a great trimmer if it had a better feeding head on it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Homelite Makes Them Right
I have owned a Homelite built for John Deere for more than 16 years. The carburetor has gone out and I am replacing it with the new Homelite. I used the new one last week and was most impressed.
