Better than my old sharpening steel
This definitely sharpens my kitchen knives better than my old steel. But when I first had the steel it wasn't bad. Only time will tell is this carries on working for a long time or if it too will gradually fail to sharpen. Compared to other examples available to purchase the price is good and quality OK.

Great way to sharpen a knife.
I insist on a knife being sharp, especially in the kitchen. These are great, they last about 2 years then when they get a little smooth I replace them. Over 40 years I've tried everything to sharpen knives, this is what I've found gets the job done.
