A fair degree of skill with the use of one's hands will be required
The installation of this aerial requires a fair degree of skill with the use of one's hands and both basic mechanical and electrical knowledge. The aerial cable terminates with a female plug for which there appears to be no UK matching male plug so this has to be cut off and replaced with an F type co-axial connector. To do this wind insulation type around the existing 4.0 mm diameter of the outer insulation until it becomes 6.0 - 7.0mm dia. This will enable connection to the existing aerial cable in your Caravan or Motor Home using another F-Type connector. Once connected it works very well indeed but I have noticed that the external aerial, when shortened to its minimum length for travelling, does not engage in the lower clip very well. This, however, is a small matter which does not detract from the otherwise excellent performance.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Caravan radio desperation
I bought this item to fit to my laughingly high spec 2019 Caravan (make withheld) to overcome the abysmal reception from the factory fitted aerial system shared with the TV. I had this product fitted as original manufacturers equipment on my previous 2011 Caravan which worked perfectly and reliably for the 8 years of my ownership. I have not been disappointed with the results of retro fitting this product to my new van, it works perfectly and has improved radio reception to an acceptable standard. Replacement for vandalised unit.

The end of my old aerial fell apart so o...
The end of my old aerial fell apart so ordered this new one. TOP TIP: Before taking out old one tape the two wires together once disconnected from the radio. Then tie a strong wire to these before pulling the old one out. Use this wire to attach to the new aerial so you can pull it through to the radio. I bought this aerial to replace the existing one on my used caravan. Not too difficult to install. Now my radio receives all the stations it should.
