Great little piece of kit
My old intrasound unit finally broke, so I was looking for a replacement and decided to get an ultrasound one this time. I was impressed with the quality of the unit, especially for the price. The unit itself feels quite solid to handle with a good weight to it, and the press buttons used to select the mode and time feel quite substantial. Time will tell as to how long this lasts, but from early indications I'm optimistic it'll be longer than my previous unit. It comes with a transformer and a small tube of the conductive gel required. Disappointed
The product itself was promising and after physio and acupuncture I was still in great pain. The hand held ultrasound worked initially and helped the pain but then the lead kept falling out of the device. After that, every time I tilted the device to apply to my shoulder area, it cut out. The lead wouldn’t stay inserted in the device and with it cutting out, I became really frustrated so had to send it back. It’s a great idea and I believe it worked for the 3 days I managed to use it without problems. The lead should be attached, permanently, to such a device, or the device should be cordless perhaps? I would recommend the device, absolutely, if it was more robust and didn’t fall apart so quickly after less than a week’s use! It was jolly expensive, so I was surprised to find a similar product, half the price with a sensible, fixed lead and similar functions. Worth buying? Yes!
I bought this to help with plantar fasciitis. It has improved with using it once a day for 10 minutes on the high setting. The pain hasn’t gone away completely after a month of using it but it has definitely improved and I can now walk 4 miles and the next day it is tender but ok. It seems expensive to buy it but I had tried 3 shock treatments at a foot clinic and each session cost more than this product so felt it was worth trying.
