Perfect solution for a rear number plate!
I had to replace the original number plate because it had delaminated where the holes were. I was looking for a solution that would mean not having to drill the number plate. I found this product and ordered it. The holes in the back of this lined up perfectly with the holes on the Audi, so fitting was a breeze. Placing the number plate and securing it was also easy. Nice addition to the rear of S/RS cars
Thought I would try this 'Audi Sport' plate holder on my 2016 RS6. The original front holder is specifically designed for honeycomb grill, curved, with integral clips and with two indented fixing points. So to fix this holder on I had to find longer fixing screws, but no self tapping screws I tried would hold in the existing holes. Even if they had, you would still have to access the rear of grill to create two additional wider fixing points to secure properly. After two attempts to fix to front I gave up. Fixing to rear was much easier, using the existing two plate fixing holes. There are plenty of cut-outs in the holder, so there should be no problem lining up. As the plate is clipped into the holder, I used the original screws through the plate and the holder so the existing fixing holes in plate were not visible (a cleaner look would necessitate a new plate be made). As usually the rear plate is fixed directly to bodywork, the addition of a plate holder finishes it better. So, definitely recommended for the rear, but be wary depending on your front grille set-up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
