Much-anticipated follow-up to New Boots and Panties, Do It Yourself was on its release held, in some circles, to be a bit disappointing. Fewer cheeky chappie Cockney type-songs and more muscially-complex and accomplished tunes. The album has aged well and contains some sprakling tunes, with a great rhythm section (Blockheads perhaps never got the credit they deserved) and the verbal colour and gymnatics from Ian Dury. Bonus tracks are a good feature of this CD.
