Product OK but labeling inconsisfent
I am new to this product but I decided to try it because the price was in my affordable range. I know from fact that in some Chinese pharmacies where I live in New York, ginseng root can cost over $300 a pound. My first act was to open a capsule and smell and taste the product, and it definitely is real ginseng. I also decided to make my own tincture by breaking open about a dozen capsules and mixing them with a small amount of vodka to bring out the polyphenols for several days, then simmering the solution. Much of the alcohol will evaporate this way. I can then take the tincture using a medicine dropper a couple of times a day.
My only problem was with the label: On the front it says Ginseng Powder Extract but on the back label is only says, "Ginseng Powder," which is something else. My guess is that it is really not an extract, just powdered ginseng.
