Ok, I am a biased fan and have most of his releases already, but somehow this one got by me. I had anticipated this to be padded out with a few weaker tracks, but surprisingly this wasn't the case. The inclusion of the track "Mr Buttons" was a gentle swipe at the computer age. Although a few tracks appeared on the Yin and Yang discs, the remastered tracks are weel worth the pruchase price - go to the web site and enjoy. The extras on disc two featured three videos which were fun, with the almost surreal "Brother 52" a worthy inclusion - Fish in a Tatto Parlour than at an oil well, reminsicient of the old "Escape from the Planets of the Apes" (perhaps I digress too far). The discography and other features ensured this was a package that die hard and new fans would welcome. For those not familiar, this is a wonderfull introduction to the man that has overcome the association with marillion with aplomb, party music and thoughtful lyrics. Enjoy.Read full review
This compilation is good item for fans as there are 2 exclusive tracks written for this issue. Also the compilation is useful for others interesting in Fish music.
I HAVE LOVED FISH'S LYRICS FOR MANY YEARS, HE HAS A PROFUND TRUTH IN HIS SONGS. WHAT BETTER WAY TO REMEMBER HOW GREAT HE TRULY IS THAN BY BUYING SOME OF THE BEST OF HIS SONGS, I'D BEEN AFTER THIS ALBUM FOR A WHILE AND SAW THAT IT WAS GOING FOR A PRICE I WAS HAPPY WITH, THERE ARE MANY TRACKS ON HERE THAT BRING BACK MEMORIES. SENT QUICKLY TOO IN THE POST.
This cd is a great starting g point for any Fish fans it covers a good selection of his early solo career. Plenty of great tracks here including the much underage duet with Sam Brown, 'Just good friends'. Buy it & enjoy!
