Good game.
I haven’t played much, but here are my thoughts. I’ve played 2D, arcade versions growing up, and this feels very similar, which is good. The graphics are good for Switch, of course more 3D now. I didn’t realize that some animation/cinematic was a part of this game when I bought it. I was mainly buying it for the local multiplayer function. The storyline seems very innocent, good guys vs bad guys type. Younger children may enjoy watching and getting into the story. I don’t think people should buy it just for the storyline, let’s put it that way. I read that Switch cartridges rarely go on sale; I think for me, around $ 10-15 would have been a good value for this game. Nonetheless, it was easy to play multiplayer right away, without a harsh learning curve (simple mechanics,) which is what I wanted it for!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good for parties and fans of the series. Not so much interesting in single player mode.
The game is what you could expect in terms of Bomberman. If you like the games before this one than it will be fun. The history telling is an upgrade really wellcome, but definitely not deep. See how the different colored bombers behave themself and how the vilains behave is very nice. The formula stays the same as before and I didn't noticed any major change in gameplay neither in powerups. The game campaign is short and the bosses can be difficult for very young children, but not a challenge for most people. As it is, the game is fun, but lacks a good creativity in campaign mode. It launched with very little contend, but with updates it received a good amaunt of stages for multiplayer and new character. Recomend for those with someone to play together or for parties, although there is an online mode, It's not ease to fill the entire room at random and the single player maps are not compelling enough to make it stands out of the multplayer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Everything I wanted in a new Bomberman game
As a fan of the franchise, I was pumped for a new Bomberman. However, I had low expectations for this game due to its 6.2 IGN review and the massive criticism it received over the past year. I'm not sure what people were expecting but it's everything Bomberman is supposed to be. Biggest con is probably the way the screen can get off at times but the life-gem-powerup system is a neat way to earn some unlockables in the game. Not as good as older titles, but better than nothing.
It has a fun little story mode, but it is too short. It has a variety of multiplayer content, including costumes and new stages, but you need to grind to unlock them. It doesn't even have all of the items that the old games used to. The remote bomb, the bomb line, and the square blast are all missing.
