The movie was very conical at the very least. All actors did the best acting for this type of movie. I enjoyed this so much that it is worth watching over.

I was glad to have been able to find a DVD. It has been a Christmas tradition to watch this and holiday comedies, like National Lampoon's, usually when they aired on TV. Because of all the bustle, the holidays can get exhausting and depressing; now I can pop a funny seasonal comedy whenever during Christmastime, or any other time I want. In addition, Douglas Seale plays one of the most joyous and believable versions of Santa Claus on film. YaknowwhatImean?

Loved this movie as a kid and it still holds up as one of the best Christmas movies ever made!

Very entertaining and funny for us Ernest fans! A great take on the. Santa fantasy. My only objection is that near the end, the movie attributes God-like powers to "Santa" that I had to correct with my kids.

Not the best but Jim Varney (Ernest) brings out the Christmas loving child in all of us Good fun in this Holiday movie about Santa trying to find his replacement ....with the help of Ernest.

I have seen many of the Ernest series of films and this is one of my favorites. His character is so down to earth and honest and geniunely funny. There are some great moments (like when he delivers the Christmas tree to his always unseen buddy Verne's house), or when he is driving Santa's sled all over Orlando. It also makes me chuckle to see it snow in Orlando because for the 21 years I have lived here, that has never really happened quite like in the movie. Personally, I must admit that I knew the actor who played the Police officer who was tasked with booking Santa Claus into the local jail, his name was Danny Dillon, and when I asked him about Jim Varney and doing this film with Jim around, Danny had nothing but glowing comments about JIm and his crew. I might note too that this was the first film ever made entirely in Orlando, Florida. Actor Danny Dillon is now up there with Jim at that big actors home in the sky, but I have never forgotten either of them and their great talents to make people laugh and feel at home while doing so. You see, Danny Dillon, use to play Sid Cuehuenga at Disney (MGM, now Hollywood) Studios and he could be found every Sunday where he did well at that establishment making folks laugh. I did manage to have Danny personally sign my copy of this CHristmas gem and he was quite flattered and honored to do so. Danny and Jim were great talents and I will miss their presence in this world but wish them the best on the next level. A Truly wonderful Christmas story to enjoy. WFCRead full review
