A grueling film that appears to be shot from a shaky hand held camera. it is a tale of one mans efforts to bury his son in the most horrific environment. It perhaps gives us an idea of what it might have been like to be a victim of the holocaust but in no way is it entertaining. It's such a distinctive and well made movie, concentrating on the central character from the first time he comes into focus, and staying with him throughout.
