It skips alot. Dvd was brand new so no scratches, rewound and played it again and the same part will play fine, then it will skip a different bit. Tried the same dvd on the downstairs dvd player and it worked fine without skipping so must be this dvd player. It half-worked but not the half I wanted. Disks of all kinds spun but never 'loaded'. The unit repeated load/read fail/shut down cycle unless mains power was disconnected, when it could be induced to pay digital content on USB keys if timed right... as can most smart TVs. (The fault wasn't the loose laser ribbon, easily fixed with Kapton tape, but microprocessor related. No point returning after opening up, so written off (apart from fully functional leads and remote).Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
