This CD is a great introduction to the more political aspects of Robert Wyatts work. It is especially poignant in these times which are beginning to resemble the political unrest and social turmoil of the early 1980s when this album was released on vinyl. The highlight for me is Roberts' take on the Chic song "At Last I am Free", his fragile hoarse Estuary English tinged voice over synth and sequencer backing is sublime and worth buying this album for on its own. There are other gems here in this truly eclectic mix of songs and one poem. Take a punt!buy it! you could always sell it on Ebay secondhand if you dont like it! there are plenty of fans out there after a bargain.
I like Robert Wyatt whatever he does. This is however not one of his best. Many of the songs are old revolutionery stuff or third world stuff performed in his special rather funny way. Good but he can do better!
