From the very beginning, Geezer Butler was at the heart of their success. Like Geezer's bass lines and the story of Black Sabbath themselves, Into the Void is original, dramatic and one hell of a ride.
A must read for fans of Black Sabbath from the man who wrote the lyrics behind the music.
Great book for all fans of the Sabs. I have read all three biographies to date from the original bandmembers,
"I Am Ozzy", "Iron Man" and "Into The Void". While I can easily recommend all 3 for anyone interested in a behind the scenes tale of the ups and downs in the career of one of the most iconic heavy bands in history,
Geezer's accounts come across as perhaps a bit more clear headed (at least in comparison to the others)
and probably a bit closer to the truth than the others. Also, great to read the story written from the viewpoint of the man who actually wrote most of the bands' lyrics. Glad all of them are still around and able to write their accounting of their tale. Now all we need is a biography from Bill Ward to complete the tale.
Bass Legend - Terrance "Geezer" Butler of Black Sabbath - Enough said.
The legend of the slackest bass strings and lyricist extraordinaire from the band they said would fail. How wrong they were and what a life to live. Bass legend - Enough said.
