This is a great collection of quality cuts from most of the major players of the ‘70s (Tubby, Jammy, Scratch Perry, Scientist, Sly & Robbie, etc.) The booklet provides a little background to the origins of Dub and the aforementioned visionaries who pushed the envelope of formulaic, “traditional” Reggae, shattering cosmic audio boundaries along the way. Don’t let the awkward ‘90s packaging put you off; this is the real deal.
