You can't have more chrome on a classic that even WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer appreciated. The rich, dark green body has the understatement of the early 1950s. In addition, there is the typical chrome exterior, which makes the 1:87 scale Rüsselsheimer appear so elegant. Most WIKING friends will still remember the year 1977, when the Opel Captain '51 brought something like a signal effect to the range. The traditional model makers presented the Opel sedan as a “veteran” innovation, thus creating an era-defining car two years after the start of the classic offensive. WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer deliberately chose the 1951 shape of the Opel Captain. The original looked more sublime and the chrome trim had been increased. Particularly striking: the rear wheels now appeared partially covered.
