This is Much better an album you think or remember. If ranking all McCartney's albums this would definitely be top 10 and probably just outside top 5. When I think about it more deeply it's Number 7. With only the really big ones above it. It's probably the best of his albums that just didn't seem to do anything in the charts at all, because it came at a point when nobody was listening to McCartney or ex Beatles for that matter. This was grunge and britpop era, with drugs and hardness coming to the front. Nobody paid attention to the continuing amazing ability of McCartney to create heartfelt, catchy, meaningful and joyous tunes to last forever. And there's some great stuff here. You will enjoy it.

I had bought everything Paul has issued under his own, and Wings name except this cd for no particular reason. Having played it twice its the usual mix of great ballads, and semi rockers which apart from a couple of tracks are excellent. I personally think that McCartney has had a bit of a raw deal in that as John is no lomger with us it seems that it is generally thoughy that he was the driving force behind the Beatles. Wrong! In a hundred years time you will still be hearing songs like "All my Loving", "Yesterday","Shes leaving home","E. Rigby", etc, etc. Pauls solo albums have been patchy, but what about John,s (i.e The rubbish he made with Yoko, and to my ears the only really decent solo album he did was his first. Anyway, this is a decent cd, and one i would recommend to McCartney fans everywhere. His last two cds "Chaos in the Backyard", and "Drivin Rain" are also good so "Fill your boots"!.Read full review
