  • A timeless classic!

I've just watched this ICONIC Bollywood movie all over again which was released in the same year that I was born. 1975. A complete, timeless classic. Although aged in terms of the quality of the film, nothing about the film has changed at all. It has something for everyone. Drama, action, comedy, romance, and the best music. You need to see this film before you die. And the version I've purchased and seen on DVD is the "The Director’s Cut of Sholay."; also known as "SHOLAY "The Extended Director's Cut" - Duration - 204 minutes. The ending is the ORIGINAL ending which is what Ramesh Sippy the director presented to the Censor Board in India in 1975. In the ORIGINAL ending; Gabbar was killed by Thakur in the story. In the versions that I've seen on TV and in the cinema; Gabbar is just captured by the police. The original ending has just left me speechless and spellbound. They certainly don't make films like this anymore!
