It was ok but a little dated

I was glad to have bought this DVD and to remember with it some of Lawrence's often sordid life. McClellan and Suzman played their parts with applomb but the accolade must go to Geilgud who, though only on the screen for a few minutes, showed what an actor portraying someone with a seemingly dual personality (the closeted but prurient lawyer who pursued Lawrence)should be able to (but often cannopt) do! This might well be film making at it's best for me even though the aspect of fighting the establishment warms the cockles of my heart, and therefore might make me prejudiced in it's favour, but there could certainly be no doubt that this was a ground breaking film of a very good calibre.
