Exquisite, Her Finest Album
I used to have this on vinyl back in the day, but had almost forgotten it and Janis Ian until I heard "At Seventeen" on a taxi radio.....it brought back all that bitter-sweet, New York melancholy. I was pleased to find this, undoubtedly her best album, available on CD, and remastered too. I listened to it straight through then homed in on what used to be my favourite tracks.... "In the Winter" and "Between the Lines". They still do it for me. There's a bonus track, a live recording of "Between the Lines"....much more forthright than the original. I'm so glad to have this again.

A masterpiece way ahead of its time.
Bought this album when it came out and loved it. Now have it on CD and have realised what a masterpiece it is. Wonderful voice, amazing songs, brilliant instrumentation and production. I can't stop playing it.
