I must admit that I’m only a fair-weather Rugby nut,and I only recently heard about this game. But I bought the DVD on impulse, and am so glad I did.... Watching the first try had me in tears (honest!),and the rest of the match was equally wonderful. The attitude of the players — “I’ve just scored a magnificent try,but so what? That’s what I’m here for”, a day quiet jog back to restart the game. None of this modern-day fist pumping or leaping about — A wonderful game, extremely well-captured on this DVD. Highly recommended.

Well, if you like Rugby Union, as much as many do, this is one of the finest games many of us have ever watched, with some of the very best who ever played the game, it's obligatory viewing whatever age you are, the 70's the game was at its peak, all skill, verve and endeavour and very different from today much as it's still enjoyable it was a magical age.

The DVD is excellent. I am especially pleased that the entire match is on the DVD. I have already watched the match twice and it was the story of Legends for a Lions team that included Gareth Edwards, JPR Williams, David Duckham, Phil Bennett and John Dawes. Jonathan.

I remember watching the game on the day. Time doesn’t take away the magic.

Simply one of the greatest rugby matches ever played. The Gareth Edwards try and the build up to it early in the game rates as one of the greatest tries ever. An exhilarating action packed game all throughout I would say.

This is the definitive rugby match. A rampant All Black side, gets narrowly beaten by the flair of the Barbarians. This match is probably the most entertaining you will see. If you think the modern professional game is more entertaining, take a look at the amateur game of 1973. Cramped line outs, high tackles, and the magic of the Barbarians when it all comes together. I have to say I think the commentry was better back then as well!
One of the best games of rugby i have ever seen, some good open rugby played with some great legends of the game. I bought this because i had never seen it apart from the famous try scored by legend welsh scrum half Gareth Edawards. Overall it is a quality dvd with great comentary and a GREAT DUMMY! many thanks
