Disappointed!
Giving this CD set 3 stars is only for the Digital transfers. Not a lover of old recordings transferred to Digital, which in this case I found the solo voice sounded as though it was coming from the back of the (various)orchestras, and not the front, which is where the singers were performing. It was a little better on Analogue, but I was struggling to sustain listening to the songs as they were all exactly the same sound, which the originals would have been different sounding on different 78 rpm record labels. It was hard on my ears. I fear the restoration on this set is at fault. I have other CDs from this record label and have not come across this before. I shall get some other CD labels and see if there are any differences..
