Reviews3 stars out of 5 -- "Tina brings extroverted carnality to songs associated with, among others, B.B. King, Jimmy Reed, Robert Johnson and T-Bone Walker...", "With Ike serving up stinging-hot guitar riffs and Tina channeling James Brown's growl and Otis REdding's soul with her deeply emotive singing, the blues have rarely been given such soulful interpretation."

  • Tina Turner - Totally Under Rated As Blues Singer

Working Together is one of my favourite Ike & Tina LP's. I also used to own the Nutbush CL LP but I was never fully aware just how good this music is. I think some tracks from Sing The Blues were from the latter LP. I also didn't know it was Albert King on guitar. To cut a long story short, I've heard many of these Blues standards by other artists from Canned Heat to you name it, but this compilation refreshed my ears. The quality is better than what you get when you listen online, for me it was definitely worth buying this moderately priced CD.
