Good but I was disappointed to see that this American version had removed the original British ending - of his dream of meeting his father again when he (Winston) was in old age That had seemed to me one of the most memorable moments in cinema - how could anyone remove it - and replace it with those scenes of general glorification and the triumphal ending. ? Oh - the Americans, I suppose.!
