Great for middle grades 5-7
I reread this book after getting it for my granddaughter. The content is is a little old for a 3rd grader, and no quite what I remembered. It would be great for a book discussion about misjudging people and how our own thoughtless actions / words can profoundly effect others. Carly, our protagonist, finds out years later, that something she did totally humiliated her classmate Justin, which was bad enough in and of itself, but it was at a time when what he needed was understanding. His home life was troubling enough and he had just lost his mother...There is a whole lot going on in the book. The book was sold as used, but I don't think the spine had ever been cracked, so it was absolutely like new.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
