Never a dull moment here
This is every recording that Rod did for Mercury records. His first two solo albums, an old raincoat won't let you down and Gasoline Alley point to things to come. A great mix of originals and covers. Disc 2 contains the monumental Every picture tells a story and Never a dull moment. These two albums are the best things he's ever done. What a singer, what a band. Disc 3 contains the patchy Smiler album. He tries but apart from Farewell there isn't much to recommend disc 3 (most likely you'll be playing disc 2 the most).
