Vanessa Carlton released this follow-up to her first album, and it didn't seem to make much of an impact, which is a real shame, because this album is as good as the first (Be Not Nobody). There's only one track on this album I tend to skip (C'est La Vie) - all the rest are typical rich, well-crafted Nessa songs. There's a bonus song featured on this album, which is not listed on the sleeve, and is called "The Wreckage". It's a bit morbid, but boy is it a great track. Vanessa Carlton is always at her best when she's dark and moody. A great album!
