Goldberg's pizza book by Larry Goldberg Missing dust jacket; Pages can have notes/highlighting. Spine may show signs of wear. ~ ThriftBooks: Read More, Spend Less
There's a bit of humor as Goldberg is not an Italian name, but rather, Goldberg's Pizza is a well know restaurant in New York, thus the title.
I purchased this book not because I had an interest in pizza, but rather, I'm a book collector, and this book filled a void in my collection. However, the book is interesting and fun to read. There are lots of illustrations (cartoon type,) and other design elements to keep the reader involved. I would NOT call this a recipe book, as most of the book is just pizza and pizza business related stories and once in a while is a recipe. I think Mr. Goldberg always wanted to be a comedian and this was his stage to do so.
The cover photo makes the book look large, but it's actually only about 7" square. It's case bound (hard bound) with a color dust jacket and 125 pages. It was published in 1971(it's now 50 years old) so expect some wear and tear. Enjoy!
This was my favorite place to go when I lived nearby- when Goldberg’s closed I was heartbroken. And yes, it was the best in NYC!
Now I have recipes!!!!!
