A "Daddy" of a box set
The reputation of this film is well known and for good reason. The really good thing about this box set is you get an unseen version- the original that was never shown, with a few different actors, and some different versions of scenes also scenes that were never actually used in the well known Ray Winston/Phil Daniels version. Scum but not humdrum
I had never seen the film before and it wasn't until a couple of work mates suggested that I was in some way like one of the characters that I decided to buy and watch it. The two dvd set is great value for money. It's and old film, but still packs a punch! In many ways. I know! You are wondering which character. The one that didn't wear any shoes! The last resort film made for the BBC. But was to true to life.I the daddy!
This was a classic film but was suppose to be a way to stop kids going into Borstal . Pre 80,s were screws were screws and no one was safe.
