This comes from the heyday of science fiction movies, the 1950's and 60's and Irwin Allen's production of this early "Disaster Movie" is imaginative and colourful. The characters are not convincing and the nakedly commercial addition to the cast of the pop icon Frankie Avalon and his showcase performance with Barbara Eden are cheesy.Great popcorn stuff!
Good for nostalgic entertainment or for those with an interest in early special fx techniques. At the time of this films release it was good but obviously looks a little dated these days when compared to newer similar movies.
