I thirst for world horror ghost movies and have quite a collection now, this movie didn't get in it. It is a good quality movie with strong acting from most of the cast, the scares were good accompanied by very piercing sound effects guaranteed to make you reel and gasp. Sadly there are a limited number and the long scenes made me very drowsy. They demonstrated well the situation and emotion of the adopted child in that it's not just the couple that adopts him, the whole family has to, and what if not everyone likes him? The tension surrounding this child is ominous and down-right oppressive at times, the camera angles not helping as they showed only one or two different locations, leaving me feeling very claustrophobic. This effect is really quite good though and definately adds to the atmosphere. I was shouting at the telly (in a good way) when a major twist occured and I decided what had just happened. I thought I'd nailed it but got it wrong over and over again. On a personal note, who ever did the drawings featured in this movie was a real star, lovely work!Read full review
i was'nt as good as what i would have expected it to be as there was'nt much of a story line to it. why the tree?!!! and is there ever an adopted child that is not so creepy?! good watch for some one who is not a regular horror/suspense movie watcher, but not so good for regular horror watchers, as most tend to expect more!
