Nostalgic Viewing
This DVD confirmed everything l expected it would. Dick Emery was a comic genius. I was engaged in the comedy every minute. Only one thing took me by surprise.....the Comedy of Errors at the end of the disc. I had totally forgotten this little nugget at the end of each show. Some comedy shows from the 70's don't really hold their own in the 21st Century. I'm pleased to be able to not include Dick Emery's shows in the above observation. I recommend this DVD not just as a nostalgic reminder, but because this man was just so funny.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A wonderful blast from the past
Whilst I'm not a fan of these 'best of' compilations, because they offer at best only a truncated overview what's considered best is purely subjective, this 90 minute DVD offers a pleasing snapshot of Dick Emery's many comic caricatures. Engaging and funny, it might fall foul of people who rigidly adhere to PC guidelines, but to anyone with a sense of humour this represents what the BBC could do in its heyday.
