Product Information
Director Don Letts has spent a good portion of his adult life documenting the exciting punk explosion that came out of England in the late 1970s. His film about the Clash, WESTWAY TO THE WORLD, is regarded as one of the definitive artefacts of the era, and Letts even went on to form the band Big Audio Dynamite with the Clash's Mick Jones. PUNK: ATTITUDE sees Letts returning to his beloved subject matter, examining the wide-reaching cultural impact punk had on the music world and beyond. Letts calls on a number of British and American stars to offer their thoughts on punk, with Henry Rollins, Chrissie Hynde, Jello Biafra, and filmmakers Jim Jarmusch (MYSTERY TRAIN) and Mary Harron (I SHOT ANDY WARHOL) among them. Some stunning footage of vital performers such as the Ramones, the Sex Pistols and Iggy Pop helps flesh out Letts's movie, while the director steers the film away from fond nostalgia, and instead demonstrates how the punk attitude continues to have an enormous influence throughout the world.Product Identifiers
