A rather mediocre documentary on the history of Broadway, with hackneyed commentary, and hosted by Julie Andrews (despite her connections to Broadway, probably not the best choice). There are almost as many scenes from Hollywood musicals as from Broadway shows, because they're easier to find. The end is all a bit rushed too, and you can see that the makers were far more fascinated with the early years than with the 60s and beyond. However, there are still some great clips from early Broadway shows in there, and the interviews with most of the actors, writers and producers are generally pretty good.
