Billie is moody and sultry
This DVD has an excellent collection of Billie Holiday's famous tunes. She sings about love in its many manifestations. Her signature one beat off singing is bluesy, world weary, conveying a hot Southern summer. Fine background jazz musicians combine with Billie for a relaxing evening of signature listening. Recommended.

Billie at her Best
Billie Holiday can do no wrong her soulful voice on the cross section of songs on this cd, is a good representation from 1936 with Summertime through late 50's recordings as Speak Low. Also there are 2 remixed tracks of Speak Low and Yesterdays, which offer a updated version, but don't spoil the originals. The various musicians on the cd as Oscar Peterson and Barney Kessel to name a few are outstanding.
