The Val Lewton Horror Collection is American film & film noir at its best--great cinematography, well-written stories that build suspense & horror with few special affects, no graphic violence, poignant with mystery & social & philosophical depth. Some of the best movies ever made in black and whitle--the use of shadows & light, along with quality music, and the special feature commentaries make this collection a must-see, must-have. An informative documentary on Val Lewton courtesy of Martin Scorcese, tops off the show. The seller I bought from provided a clean & well-cared for used copy, and sent it well-packaged and promptly.
