Feels weird to say I thoroughly enjoyed a movie about H*tler.....but I did. Great movie, very true to the books it's based off. DVD arrived in great condition. No complaints. 5 stars

Overly sympathetic portrayal of history's nastiest piece of work. Well made, well put together but the message is morally doubtful. Best comment on the bunker was from an allied officer who arrived shortly "after"; it, approriately enough, "stank"

Impressive performance by the actor playing Hitler which enables the film to hold structure. Not light-hearted, as you would expect but impactful and holds attention.

Hitler played brilliantly by Bruno Ganz. Don't be put off the subtitles as the film is both entertaining and moving in different places.

Enormous trouble, effort and expense went into the making of this film to make it astonishingly authentic and accurate. Hitler himself appears so realistically the same as surviving film footage of the real man, that it is uncanny. The realism is more potent for all the spoken word being German, (with English subtitles). Everyone knows how it will end because history cannot be changed. Yet, just as with the film Titanic, you have to watch it right to the end. Clips have been made fun of in Youtube, with changed dialogue, and these are sad because the truth is that this story is a climactic event of world history from which serious lessons have to be learned. The actors deserve every acolade for their efforts, as do the set designers.
