I remember this film from many years ago and have wanted it for ages. It's a very unusual and clever idea for a supernatural film of a demonic lamp. Don't want to spoil it for you so won't say any more. But it's a good film and although some of the initial special effects with the clergy at the start are a bit lame, don't be put off. Well worth a watch. My opinion is that Amityville 2 (possession) and this one are the best ones with some very good acting in BOTH films.

When the evil escapes from the house into an old standing lamp and get transported 3000 miles away to another home, the evil starts all over again... To when priest recovers after being attacked by the evil and finds out where the lamp has gone, he goes to the new home and battles the evil once more. Very good horror with lots of tense suspense and drama, with brilliant acting from the cast. 9.8/10 Movie.
