Saw this in my youth so brings back happy memories, also a bit unusual in that it is set in a more modern setting.

I’m a fan of many Hammer films. I love the sets, props, costumes, lighting, and so on, the whole look they created and mastered in many excellent pictures. Along with solid screenplays and direction from Terence Fisher et al. Sadly this film is not one of those...Utterly appalling drivel. I only managed to get through it using my forward wind button! I’m very surprised Mr. Lee and Cushing agreed to appear in this fourth rate pantomime. The screenplay is an amateurish cobbling of pitifully weak nonsense. The ‘modern’ and ‘funky’ soundtrack is awful in its own right , and does not fit or work with the Dracula subject matter. It is just embarrassing. I’m glad to have seen it as I can mark it off the list of films I haven’t ever seen, but I’ll also be sure to mark it ‘never again!!!’

This DVD is a surprisingly good film, well made with Dracula appearing in the 1970s. Amusing soundtrack still a Hammer horror film to watch if you like the Count.
