For anyone who has been watching WWE profile DVDs and note that very seldom do the talking heads say anything negative about the subject, and wonders "yeah, but what did you REALLY think of the guy," this is mandatory viewing. No one pulls any punches on their thoughts on the colourful career of Jim "Warrior" Hellwig. Vince McMahon, Bobby Heenan, Gene Okerlund, Jerry Lawler and Ric Flair all rag on Warrior for his unprofessionalism or lack of respect for "the business," based on their experiences. Hell, for once even Steve Lombardi is a relevant interviewee! Only Hulk Hogan is more reserved, indicated that Warrior indeed had friends in the locker room and only really criticizing Warrior for holding Vince up for more money (fair enough) and for mentioning their past history on a live Nitro. Hate to burst your bubble Hulkster, but WcW fans, southern rednecks as you may perceive them, will have known the result of your match at WrestleMania VI. The match is a refreshing biopic due to the honesty of the participants regarding Warrior's shortcomings, but of course the doubt lingers whether it's all genuine or whether it's a simple WWE hatchet job. None the less, it's a concise look back at Warrior's various runs and feuds. The matches selected are five of his most important - his debut, first Intercontinental title win, victory over Hogan, only successful PPV title defence against Rick Rude, and finest match against Randy Savage at WrestleMania VII. If I wanted to nitpick, I'd say his matches with "Ravishing" over the Intercontinental title were superior and perhaps their match at SummerSlam 89 would have been included instead of the cage match. As it is, that's our lot. Had Warrior acquiesced to participate we may have seen a more flattering documentary portion and he may have received the two disc treatment with an extra batch of matches, like the other discs released of past legends. Then again some would argue that five Warrior matches is enough for anyone! Obviously insight from the man himself would have been great, and as all of his big feuds are with men who have died (Hercules, Andre, Ravishing Rick) or are on bad terms with the company (Savage) it's very much an outsiders view looking in. Still, you buy the DVD for a look back at what Warrior accomplished on the national stage, and that's exactly what you get. It's far from Ultimate, but it's still a great DVD.Read full review
Excellent documentary examining the career of the 'Ultimate Warrior' - From the mid 80s up until his retirement in 97. I found this documentary both informative but also being a huge fan of the 'Warrior', i wasn't at all pleased with the way things took a turn for the worse...basically bashing both the man himself and his character! ): Of course there were good and bad points to the Warriors career, but they tended to want to forget he even was a part of WWF / WWE history. Why else would he become a Hall Of Famer...? 10/10

Well worth adding to any wrestling fans collection. If not for the fact that the WWE will act like they never produced it in the years to come.

I bought the Ultimate Warrior dvd because when i was growing up he was my favourite wrestler and i wanted to see what had happened in his career.i never knew there was a dvd of the Ultimate Warrior as i hadn't seen it in any shops.when i came across it on ebay i had to buy it.and im glad i did.the dvd was excellent the extras was good the condition was excellent and finding out things i never knew well sort of opened my eyes to the uniqueness of the warrior!he was an amazing character and even now when i hear his theme tune i kinda get excited and want to be a little kid again in the front row at a main event!its just a pity that we wont see him back in the wrestling again he really was the ULTIMATE!!!according to the dvd people hate him but to me a fan he was great better than hogan, bret hart, stone cold john cena and the rock!there is only one ultimate warrior and im absolutely chuffed i have his dvd.watching the steel cage match against rick rude was amazing!ebay thanks for finding this dvd its pride of place in my collection!Read full review
A controvertial DVD if ever there was one. The Ultimate Warrior was one of the most colourful characters ever to grace the square circus. This DVD follows his career in the WWF as it was then, and contains comments and personal impressions by many well named stars from the organisation. The disputes have arisen as Warrior Warrior himself, does not comment on the DVD. According to Vince McMahon, the owner, he was actually invited to partake but refused. This is a wonderful, addictive rendering, and is a must-see for grappling fans. Do try to get a copy. You will not regret it!
Probably the best loved superstars of the early years of the wwe. This wwe film is about the wwe superstar the ultimate warrior it is his first evr wwe film about him. Watch for the first time ever the rise and fall of the ultimate warrior it has loads of extras and plenty of matches in fact hours of matches and extras. This dvd is a really good buy.

This is a very WWE sided view of The Ultimate Warriors time within the business. Some Really Good Matches and a very enjoable DVD to watch. Buy this if you remember the good ole days of wrestling.
Answers that big question: what happened to the Ultimate Warrior? Ultimate Warrior was like a living, breathing, real-life superhero...this dvd explains how he was created and the price that comes with fame. Lessons learnt from watching this: 1.Pride has a fall. 2. A bird in the hand.... 3. Work hard to achieve success
