This Garmin hiking GPS has one-touch waypoint marking that makes it easier to use. With the 250-waypoint storage capacity, this Garmin GPS receiver shows you accurate directions to your destination. The Geko 101 works continuously for about 12 hours as it uses 2 AAA batteries. The five buttons at the front of this Garmin hiking GPS lets you operate it with ease. You do not have to mark the waypoints while returning along a traveled path or route, thanks to this Garmin GPS receiver's TracBack feature. When submerged in water up to one meter, the Geko 101 remains undamaged for about 30 minutes.

Bit Dated, Still a Good GPS!
As the title says, this item is a bit dated. Pros: -fits in the palm of your hand -batteries last FOREVER. -backlit screen -very easy user operating system with minimal effort Cons: -no external port to connect to a computer or other peripheral - (can be a con depending on how you feel about this:) accuracy can range from a foot away to about 24 feet away. Overall, its good for what its worth. It connects to 5 available orbiting satellites. It marks the trail path you've walked, it has a backlit screen and its very comfortable in the hand and is light, portable and small. I like it for what it is, you be the judge.

easy to use & acurrate
takes 3 to 5 minutes to get satellite lock. Not able to connect to P.C. because this model was not made for any type of connection. better than no G.P.S..

Works fine but slow start-up
Feature set is decent and small size an asset. It is not very water resistant as battery hatch does not seal. Satellite aquisition is unacceptably slow- my iPhone 5 is much faster.

Like finding an old friend!
Love that it exactly replaced the one we had used for so many years. Don't need all the extra bells and whistles and we don't have to learn how to use a new device! Go out and set our waypoints and we are set again - ready for the foggy days and white out blizzards if we get caught out in them! Like finding a new friend. Nice price. Good packing and shipping. ☺
