The HP LaserJet 4050N model is a network-configured office printer in the 4000 series. It first became available in the late 1990s, and with an average printing speed of 17 ppm, it was a relatively fast workgroup printer during the time. Apart from its bidirectional parallel and 9-pin serial port, its JetDirect card allows it to immediately connect to a wired Ethernet connection. The HP LaserJet 4050N runs on a 133-MHz processor, which is twice the standard memory in the 4000 series for a better printer performance. Capable of printing 65,000 pages per duty cycle month, this HP workgroup laser printer has up to 1200 dpi printing resolution. Its input tray has a standard capacity of 600 sheets, but is capable of holding a maximum of 1,100 sheets. The workhorse of the office!
The HP 4050N printer is built like a tank. We use it in our offices and warehouses because it can stand up to harsh conditions and keep printing. Not the fastest printer but prints at a very good speed. They don't make heavy duty Enterprise printers like this any more, so when we see a good deal on one, we snatch it up.
