A fun walking companion
It takes a few minutes to get enough satellites to work. I have used it in some hilly areas with a canopy of trees, in those conditions the accuracy drops to about 35' - 40', in open areas the reported accuracy is as low as 6'. I have estimated my walking speed at 17 minutes to a mile and the device reported an average speed of 3.5 mph, pretty good. So far I have used it only on relatively flat terrain and probably never will use it in any seriously hilly areas so the altitude reporting is of minimal interest. It is a kick. If you walk much, you would enjoy one.
