Good Value for the money.
Once I learned how to unlock the scanner (I found instructions on line), set up was simple - just plug it in, insert a toner cartridge, add paper and program it to do what you want it to do. It worked as well as my older Dell MFP 1600n - with the same print quality, scanning capability and multitasking feature. In fact, the only reason I looked for a used one was because the new Dell Multi-Function Printers such as the E515dw and the H815dw, can't perform the Tel/Fax function at all. Dell's U.S. based technical staff worked online using a Web-Connect technology for several days, 1st trying to get the new printers to maintain a wireless connection, and 2nd to set up those new machines to differentiate a phone call from fax telemetry. It didn't matter how they set up the new machines, they had no success with the Tel/Fax functionality. Dell's only remedy is to install a dedicated fax line - spend at least an additional $20/month. Both new Dell printers have slightly better print quality and scanner sharpness and a lot of new features including wireless connectivity and cloud based functionality. Of the two, only the E515dw was able to stay wirelessly connected to my Dell Inspiron 15R 5537. Using a single phone line, Dell's 1600n MFP does allow a phone call to get picked up without turning on it's own Fax telemetric "handshake" (without disrupting a call) - all without having to use a dedicated fax line.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Kind of sketchy
