Great for starting out
Nice little unit but a little time consuming to navigate around the functions. Refresh is slow when zooming and scrolling around the screens. Make sure you use high quality batteries because it is a battery eater. Screen is small as well but backlight is sufficient for daylight use. Aquires Sats quickly and updates positions quickly. Not for serious navigation in quick disision needs but good for general navigation from point to point

What portable antenna? The only one that I received was the standard GPSIII antenna that came with it when purchased new. Other than that, it is great.

This unit is excellent, works great too. All over the parts arrived that came with it when it was new. The only problem with the unit is that the screen is too small for an old man that can not see too well anymore!
