They say you get what you pay for and that’s true of this flash and I guess all the others with different brand names that are clearly the same thing. Pro: it works well and is simple to fit and to use. Takes 4 AA batteries. Simple controls for output level and either a continuous light or flash. Con: lens rings are soft plastic so careful when screwing them in. No smart functions so you have to set camera to manual. You fit the lens ring then clip the flash ring to it. The flash can spin on the lens ring, so to use the left and right flash functions you have to hold the flash still with a finger. The flash ring is small but works on my 52mm threaded Nikon 40mm macro, so any larger thread or longer focal length will work fine. Yes I’m happy with this. Test pictures look great. Flash output is rated as 15.Read full review

Cheaper than many of the well known brands I have seen online, but does exactly the same quality job. This item gives off a good light and has different coloured diffusers allowing for different effects. It has the capability of shooting only half the lights from right or left as needed. I particularly like the fact that you can choose the strength of light needed too. Love this piece of equipment.

It's Very good value for the money. I didn't expect too much for the price but it works well and you get a lot of kit for your money. My only criticism is that the light doesn't lock to stop it from turning on the lens and the cable makes it turn. If you want the left and right lights in the right place you have to hold it to stop it turning

I have used this product for Macro photography, and whist not as good as a conventional flash it has proved ok. As its LED driven and not flash tube, the output will be dependant on the state of the batteries. Again as its LED driven there is not recycle time. But all in all its a useful product for the occasional macro photographer.
