Porco Rosso
A particularily outstanding example of studio Ghibli, planes, pigs, action and pretty girls in a very alternative 1920's Adriatic. This was apparently Ghibli's first 'adult' film, and whilst there are some more mature ideas in there, it is still a colourful romp. There is a bit of 'Chase the pigeon ' to it and I'm pretty sure that the scene where Marco sees the stream of aircraft heading to heaven? Is taken from a Roald Dahl short story. A couple of hiccups
Even though it was guaranteed the disc play perfectly, there was a couple of scratches on the disc, I guess. There were some moments it wouldn’t show the movie properly and it completely stopped playing once (we had to skip a small part to keep watching it).
