The trap is well made with strong body and springs. However, the spring mechanism really is strong and it is not easy for the average person to hold down the spring while setting the restraining lever onto the trap release catch. Be prepared to have sore thumbs. There is definitely a knack to it and I recommend watching some YouTube videos. The great thing is that once set the trap is invisible below ground and very discreet.

Just what I wanted or so I thought. Very quickly delivered from my supplier, hassle free. They are very difficult to set, get one side set, turn it around to set the other side and the first side goes off. Fortunately I still have all my fingers but I was not laughing, very strong springs. I tweaked the setting clips with pliers, just a fraction to allow for easier setting but then I lost the hair trigger so I caught nothing in them. Back to the drawing board. May get Jasper Carrot!

Good strong traps, well made and galvanised for longer life. The springs are very strong and it does take a bit of practice to be able to set them yet keep your own fingers clear. Handling and setting them in the ground also requires a bit of thought. I easily caught a mole that seemed 'resistant' to the normal scissor traps. I would recommend them.

I use these all the time with great success, better than the old type traps, kills instantly beware when setting , you could badly hurt you fingers, very strong springs,

They certainly work, caught 3 of the little b******** so far. They are not easy to set and may prove more dangerous to the operators fingers than the mole. With practice they become easier to set but require caution.
