A keeper
Not tested in the field yet, but initial impression is that this is an awesome sleeping bag and definitely a keeper. Of course a little heavier and bulkier than some other bags, but it's a compromise with sleeping bags. It still packs down fairly small and 1.6kg is reasonably light considering the warmth and features of this bag. The expansion feature is a genius idea and sets this bag apart. Excellent item for cooler nights.
Lovely, comfy bag for cooler nights though I doubt it would keep me warm at it's lower temp rating - but I am a very cold sleeper so others may disagree. Plenty of room with the expansion zip and the lined footbox is great for cold feet! It has a very cosy feel and baffles and hood are all in the right place and can be drawn in when the temperature drops in the early hours - though to unzip the bag and then zip up the expansion area during the night would be difficult and uncomfortable - watch the weather forecast closely the day before!! For the comfort rating it is not too bulky or heavy and for me it is well worth carrying for a good nights sleep. It comes with a small torch which can be fitted in the hood -I didn't use this feature and question its worth when it's tucked away in it's pouch - it was far more useful to me as a stand alone light source for those middle of the night trek's to the latrine!!! All in all an excellent product which makes those cold, wet nights we'd all rather forget far more comfortable and something we are happier to recall at the end of the trip.
